Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with onsite delivery and setup of hardware and installation of software 
• Assist with onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network related issues  
• Assist with providing restorative or maintenance actions to resolve end-user issues 
• Assist with providing proactive maintenance of hardware and Operating Systems 
• Assist with defining and documenting knowledge base articles 
• Assist with maintaining and reviewing customer documentation 
• Assist with special project work as needed 
• Perform other duties as assigned 
• Consistently meet or exceed requirement performance criteria 

Position Requirements:

• Experience with setting up, breaking down and building computers 
• Previous successful customer service experience 
• Be able to communicate problems/issues to customers in a non-technical manner 
• Must be a team player, be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and able to handle changing priorities 
• Must have flexibility in scheduling to meet changing call volume levels with the ability to work nights and weekends when required 
• Ability to complete assigned training materials and courses related to Ntegra IT’s support software and environment 
• Ability to work with little supervision 
• Ability to telework 
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record 
• Ability to occasionally lift objects such as office supplies, computers, monitors, and servers with weight up to 50 pounds.

• Experience with peripherals: printers, scanners, faxes, mobile devices 
• Basic technical knowledge of networks: WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security 
• Basic remote access knowledge: VPN, Terminal Services 
• Excellent troubleshooting capability

Education Requirements: 

• High School diploma required 
• Working toward a CompTIA A+ Certification with the ability to attain certification within 180 days of hire 
• Working toward a CompTIA Network+ Certification with ability to attain certification within 1 year of hire

Ntegra IT is a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) located in Virginia Beach, VA. We are seeking a motivated Field / Bench Technician to assist with hardware deployment, system setup, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance for our business clients.

This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands-on work with computers, networking equipment, and supporting end users. You will work closely with senior engineers and network administrators while gaining real-world experience in business IT environments.

Training and mentoring are provided, along with opportunities for professional certification and career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Assist with onsite delivery, installation, and configuration of workstations, servers, and networking equipment

·       Perform hardware setup, upgrades, and repairs in both bench and field environments

·       Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for business clients

·       Provide basic end-user support and help resolve workstation and device issues

·       Perform proactive maintenance on systems, operating systems, and hardware

·       Assist senior engineers with support tickets, deployments, and infrastructure projects

·       Document solutions and procedures within the knowledge base and documentation systems

·       Maintain and update client network documentation

·       Assist with special projects and technology rollouts

·       Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service

·       Perform additional duties as required

Position Requirements

·       Experience building, configuring, and repairing computers

·       Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills

·       Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users

·       Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage changing priorities

·       Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required

·       Flexible schedule with occasional evening or weekend work when needed

·       Ability to complete assigned training related to MSP tools and systems

·       Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

·       Ability to occasionally lift equipment up to 50 lbs (computers, monitors, servers, etc.)

·       Ability to work both onsite and remotely when appropriate

Required Technical Skills

·       Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

·       Familiarity with Apple macOS, iOS, and Android devices

·       Experience with peripherals including printers, scanners, and mobile devices

·       Basic networking knowledge including LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security concepts

·       Basic remote access technologies such as VPN and Remote Desktop / Terminal Services

·       Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

·       Ability to follow documented processes and procedures

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing environments

Education & Certification

·       High School Diploma required

·       CompTIA A+ certification preferred. Candidates without certification must obtain A+ within 180 days of hire

·       CompTIA Network+ certification preferred. Candidates without certification must obtain Network+ within 1 year of hire
